Admission of Postgraduate Programmes (PG) Part I

There is no entrance exam for MCOM/ MA ENGLISH /MA ECONOMICS. There will be an entrance exam and / or interview only for the MA PSYCHOLOGY program. Only those students who have completed their graduation in Psychology, are eligible for admission to MA Psychology.


At the Department of Psychology, we offer three specializations; Clinical, Counselling and Industrial Psychology specialization.

Getting admission for MA Psychology Program-

  1. We give preference to the students who have B.A or B.Sc. Degree in Psychology.
  2. Interviews are conducted as part of the admission for MA Psychology program

Merit list is prepared based on marks at BA/B.Sc. Degree in Psychology and performance in interview. 50% weightage is given to the marks at B.A. BA/B.Sc. Degree in Psychology and performance in interview. 50% weightage is given to the marks at Bachelor’s Degree and 50% weightage is given to the performance at Interview.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  1. Students from the present Merit Lists must secure their admission till 26th October, 2021 at 11.59 p.m. by paying the fees.
  2. This year due to the pandemic situation the physical verification of the documents will be done only when the situation permits the students to come to the campus, such day and date will be notified to the students in due course. Till then, the admission is provisional and will be confirmed only after payment of full fees, physical verification of the documents and finalization of the eligibility.
  3. Students who have not paid the Pre Merit application charges within the given time period have not been considered for the Merit List.
  4. If the student has not entered the degree percentage s/he will not be considered for the merit list.
  5. All admissions to M.A. & M. Com. are purely on merit basis in concurrence with the reservation rules of the Government of Maharashtra.
  6. Reservation under caste category is available for students from Maharashtra having valid caste certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra.
  7. The students who have applied under EWS category, should upload their certificate under ‘Caste Certificate’ heading.
  8. Optional subject once allotted will not be changed in case of M.Com. Students.
  9. The College fees will change according to the programme and residential status. Student can check the fees structure.
  10. The College staff will verify the uploaded documents of the students whose name has appeared in the merit list and after their verification the students will get mail/result.
  11. Hence the student may have to wait for a few hours to view their result and proceed for admission.
  12. A student is required to pay College fees online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking only.
  13. The offer letter contains the link to fill the admission form and pay the College fees.
  14. The student is expected to fill up the admission form carefully and pay the fees within given time.
  15. The hostel facility offered by the college is very limited, and it is allotted on merit basis and on first come first served basis only after the completion of admission process and payment of college fees.
  16. The student should bring the following documents with him/ her for physical verification after student comes to the campus when the college will reopen physically. (date will be notified).
    • Statement of Marks (original and two self-attested photocopies)
    • CGPA conversion to percentage letter (if applicable)
    • Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate (original and two self-attested photocopies)
    • Migration Certificate (original and two self-attested photocopies) –for students from other than Savitribai Phule Pune University.
    • Passing Certificate (original and two self-attested photocopies)
    • Caste Certificate (original and two self-attested photocopies) – for students from Maharashtra State only.
    • Gap affidavit (Original and two photocopies) - if applicable
    • Domicile Certificate – (Two photocopies) for students from Maharashtra State only.
    • Original and two self-attested photocopies of the documents related to special quota (Defense/Ex-servicemen/Sports etc. If applicable).
    • Income Certificate (original and two self-attested photocopies) (in case of EWS students)
  17. Following original documents will be retained by the college at the time of physical verification of documents.
    • Statement of Marks (will be returned later)
    • Passing Certificate (will be returned later)
    • Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate
    • Migration Certificate
    • Gap affidavit (if applicable)

Notice for MA (Psychology) Students regarding their final score for Admission
(Academic year 2021-22)

All the students who have appeared for the interview for admission to the MA(Psychology) programme can check their final score.

The final score is the average of their degree marks and their interview marks.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  1. Students from the present Merit List must secure their admission till 26th October,2021 at 11.59 p.m. by paying the fees. These admissions will be done on the ‘First come first served’ basis.
  2. Those students who were absent for the interviews, students who had not mentioned their percentages in pre merit from application and have not completed their bachelors in 2021 will not be considered in the merit list
  3.   6. The students are required to upload all semester marksheets while filling the application form. If the students have not uploaded all semester marksheets, they are expected to do so The students can upload all semester marksheets in the same facility/tab given for uploading marksheet.
  7. All admissions to M.A. Psychology are purely on merit basis in concurrence with the reservation rules of the Government of Maharashtra.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR IN-HOUSE ADMISSION OF M.A.PART II 2021-2022

  1. Admissions to M.A. Part II (English, Economics & Psychology) will be conducted from 11th August 2021 at 11:30 a.m. to 12th September 2021 at 11.59 p.m.
  2. Login with your Login ID (Student ID) and password e-mailed to you.
  3. Click on “Admission” menu on left pane
  4. Fill all sections of the admission form with correct information. Kindly note that some of the information would be prepopulated based on the last year data. The student can update the same with correct information wherever allowed.
  5. Select any one subject group from the ‘drop down’ list of optional subject groups.
  6. If any of the details in the admission form are not correct, please send an email along with your Student ID to maadmission21-22@symbiosiscollege.edu.in and proceed with the admission process.
  7. Complete the form by clicking the ‘submit’ button.
  8. Then click on ‘Make Payment” menu on the left pane (this will appear only after you ‘Submit’ the admission form)
  9. View the fee table and select the fee by clicking on the radio button in the last column and then click on “View Fee Details” button
  10. The payment mode and complete fee details breakup will be visible on the screen.
  11. Click on button “click here to make payment” and proceed to payment gateway for making the fee transaction. Student can pay the fees by using credit card / debit card /net banking.
  12. Upon successful payment, the fee receipt number will be displayed. Click to view the payment history.
  13. Please note that the generation of fee receipt may take a longer time. The student is requested to wait for up to 48 hours if the receipt is not generated. Even after that if it is not generated, he/she may send mail to ma admission21-22@symbiosiscollege.edu.in along with your Student ID.
  14. In the grid shown, under ‘Print e-Receipt’ you can click on ‘Print’ and get the system generated fee receipt.
  15. Student will get the roll no and division only after the payment of fees.
  16. Student can take the print of admission form for his record if required.
