New Admission for M.A. in English, Economics, Psychology, and M.Com. Part-I 2025-2026

Admission process for AY 2025-26 will be online. The student is not required to come to college physically, but he/she will have to upload all the required documents in the pre-merit registration form. Therefore, please check all the instructions carefully and follow the process thoroughly.


Admission Process Flow

1. Eligibility:

  • For M.Com – Bachelor’s degree from Commerce or Arts with Economics.
  • For MA English – B.A with English Special OR General Subject.
  • For MA Economics – Bachelor’s Degree in any faculty.
  • For MA Psychology – B.A or B.Sc with Psychology Special/Principal Subject.

2. Pre-Merit Application Form

  • Eligibility: All students seeking admission to M.A. in English, Economics, Psychology, and M.Com. Part-I are required to apply through the Pre-Merit Application Form.
  • Availability: The Pre-Merit Application Form will be available on the college website.
  • Application Period: From 3rd June 2025 to 17th June 2025.
  • Submission: Applicants must complete and submit the Pre-Merit Application Form within the stated time frame.

3. Merit List Publication

  • The Merit List for all programs except MA in Psychology will be published on 20th June 2025 based on the aggregate marks obtained in the 1st to 5th semesters of the undergraduate program.
  • Provisional Admission: Admissions are provisional and will be confirmed only upon submission of the final mark sheet of the degree program and other documents, which will be verified by the college.

4. Entrance Test for M.A. in Psychology (Online Interview)

  • Eligibility: The entrance test is applicable only for M.A. in Psychology.
  • Mode: The entrance test will be conducted through an online interview.
  • Interview Dates: The interviews will be conducted from 23rd June 2025 to 28th June 2025. (Tentative Schedule)
  • Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the interview.
  • Important Note: It is mandatory for candidates to pass the qualifying degree examination for confirmation of admission.

5. Document Verification

  • Mode: The admission documents will be verified through an online mode.
  • Verification Dates: The document verification will start from 4th June onwards.

6. Final Confirmation of Admission

  • Condition for Confirmation: Admission will be confirmed only after the fee payment, submission of the final mark sheet, Transfer Certificate, Migration Certificate, etc.; and successful verification of the same by the college.

  • Merit List Publication Date (excluding MA in Psychology): 20th June 2025

  • All the dates are tentative and only for the guidance of the student. The exact dates will be notified on the college website in due course.

The pre-merit applications for Phase-3 have started. These are only for MA English, MA Economics and M.Com. Programme.
The interested candidates are required to fill the application form and pay the charges till 12 th July 2025. The applications from Phase -2 will be considered for admission subject to availability of vacant seats.

If a student from Maharashtra State does not have a Domicile Certificate, he/she can select the "Other State" as a "Domicile state" in the pre-merit application form. He/she can change the domicile state to Maharashtra after he/she submits the certificate to the college before 31st October 2025.

IMPORTANT: Before initiating the registration for SCAC, please ensure that you go to your browser settings and TURN OFF the auto fill option to avoid incorrect information being entered.

Steps :

  1. Click on "Register".
  2. Read the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'I Agree' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Fill the registration form and upload all necessary documents.
  4. Pay the registration charges.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS :

  • Student should give the correct e-mail ID to facilitate smooth admission procedure.
  • The college offers various programmes viz.:
    • M. A. in English
    • M. A. in Economics
    • M. Com.
  • The student can opt for more than one programme. Pre-merit registration charges will be applicable as per the number of programmes which the applicant has selected.
  • The pre-merit registration charges will be as per structure below.

  • If the student wishes to apply under specific category such as Defence quota, sports/cultural quota, etc., then he/she should select the relevant quota while filling the pre-merit application form.
  • The college will be generating separate merit lists for M. A. in English, Economics and M. Com. programmes. All these programmes are mutually exclusive and therefore admissions are not interchangeable unless the student has applied for multiple programmes and is eligible through the merit list of respective programme.
  • All admissions for M.A. in English, Economics and M. Com are purely provisional on the basis of aggregate marks of 1st Semester to 5th Semester and will be confirmed only after the submission of final mark sheet of the degree programme by the student and physical verification of all the documents once the college starts.
  • If the student fails in the 6th Semester, then his/her admission will be cancelled and the refund will be made as per the cancellation rules of the college. These rules are displayed on the college website.
  • The reservation under caste category is applicable only to the students from the State of Maharashtra having caste certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra.
  • Caste category students from other States will be considered as General Category for this purpose.
  • If a student belongs to any reserved caste category from Maharashtra State, he/she will have to upload the original caste certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra at the time of filling pre-merit application form.
  • If a student wishes to take admission under any special quota such as Defence, Sports/cultural etc., then he/she will have to upload the relevant documents at the time of filling pre-merit application form. A student can apply under more than one such quotas.
  • If the college finds any invalid or wrong document or information at the time of document verification, student will get an email regarding the same. He/she is expected to re upload the document or make necessary corrections immediately. Therefore, the student has to give the valid Email ID in the application form and is required to check the same regularly.
  • Only after the verification process, the registration process will get completed.
  • Students who do not pay the pre-merit application charges within the given time period will not be considered for the Merit List.
  • The students whose name appear in the merit list will be sent an e-mail on their registered email ID giving all the details of the admission process.
  • The details of admission process, date and time period will also be available on our website under the Tab - 'Online Admissions – Master Degree (PG)'.
  • Symbiosis does not accept any Donation or Capitation for the admission to any Academic Programme. Students are cautioned against falling prey to any assurances offered for admissions by any individual or an organization.
  • Click on 'Save and Continue' to create a password and answer the hint questions. Then click on 'Submit' to register.
  • After successful registration, you will get an email containing your SCACFYPG ID and password. You may continue to complete the pre-merit form by entering the remaining details. After completing your registration, click on 'Save and Continue'.
  • Payment page will get activated and student can make the payment with Credit card/ Debit Card / Net Banking/ UPI.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce reserves the exclusive right to reject any application without assigning any reasons thereof.
  2. Non-refundable, 'Pre-Merit Online Processing Charges' of Rs. 1,500/- are payable by every candidate at the time of registration.
  3. All the information pertaining to the admission to the College will be posted on the College website.

Undertaking:

  1. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations governing the pre-merit procedure of the College as well as information and instructions given on the College website, which I have read and understood.
  2. I understand that the information that I have provided in the application form will be used by the College for communication. I may receive information by email or other form on matters related to the College and I agree not to object to such communication.
  3. I hereby undertake that the information and documents submitted in the pre-merit application form are true and correct to the best of my knowledge. Discrepancy found if any, I understand that my application for admission can be rejected by the College authorities for misinformation, and I shall not hold the College authorities responsible.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR IN-HOUSE ADMISSION of M.A./M.Com. Part II (PG)

2025-2026 Admissions to M.A./M.Com. Part II will be conducted from 20th June, 2025 at 11.00 a.m. to 28th June, 2025 at 11.59 p.m.

  1. Login with your Login ID (Student ID) and password e-mailed to you.
  2. Click on “Admission” menu on the left pane.
  3. Fill all sections of the admission form with correct information. Kindly note that some of the information would be prepopulated based on the last year data. The student can update the same with correct information wherever required and allowed.
  4. Please note that some basic information of the student is non-editable. If the student has to change it, he / she will have to visit the College office after the commencement of the course with relevant documents.
  5. The subject of specialization will remain as per the First Year for M. Com students. Student cannot change the specialization subject. However, the student will have to select the optional subjects from the drop-down list of the subjects.
  6. Complete the form by clicking the ‘submit’ button.
  7. Then click on ‘Make Payment” menu on the left pane (this will appear only after you ‘Submit’ the admission form).
  8. View the fee table and select the fee by clicking on the radio button in the last column and then click on “View Fee Details” button.
  9. The payment mode and complete fee details breakup will be visible on the screen.
  10. Click on button “click here to make payment” and proceed to payment gateway for making the fee transaction. Student can pay the fees by using credit card / debit card / net banking / UPI.
  11. Upon successful payment, the fee receipt number will be displayed. Click to view the payment history.
  12. If there has been a technical error while making the payment, the student may have to wait up to 48 hours for generating the fee receipt.
  13. Next, click on Print Declarations on left panel and click on Print Admissions Form, download it and print the same.
  14. Student will get the roll no and division only after the payment of fees.
  15. Separate notification will be issued on the college website for admission form and documents submission.
