Instructions for Pre-merit application form of F.Y (PG) 2024-2025

For M.A. in English, Economics and M.Com. the Pre-Merit application are available. The last date of application and payment is 20 th July, 2024 at 11.59 p.m.


Registration details

Please keep following documents ready with you:

  1. Your passport size photograph and signature in .jpg, .jpeg or .gif format (the file size should not be more than 100 kb).
  2. Your Statement of Marks in qualifying examination. (If the student does not have the final mark sheet of all the six semesters of the degree programme, then the student can fill his/her aggregate marks of all the earlier semesters (I to V).

Steps:

  • Click on "Register"
  • Read the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'I Agree' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
  • Fill the registration form
  • Pay the registration charges

Instructions for Students:

  • Student should give the correct e-mail ID to facilitate smooth admission procedure.
  • The college offers various options for admission viz.
    • M.A. in English
    • M.A. in Economics
    • M.Com.
  • The student can opt for more than one programme. Pre-merit registration charges will be applicable as per the number of programmes one has selected.
  • The college will be generating separate merit lists for M.A. in English, Economics and M.Com.
  • All these programmes are mutually exclusive and therefore admissions are not interchangeable unless the student has applied for multiple programmes and is eligible through the merit list of respective programme.
  • All admissions for M.A. in English, Economics and M. Com are purely provisional on the basis of aggregate marks of 1st Semester to 5th Semester and will be confirmed only after the submission of final mark sheet of the degree programme by the student and verification of the same by the college.
  • If the student fails in the 6th Semester, then his/her admission will be cancelled and the refund will be made as per the cancellation rules of the college. These rules are displayed on the college website.
  • A student is expected to pay pre-merit registration charges online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/UPI.
  • The reservation under caste category is applicable to only students from state of Maharashtra having caste certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra.
  • Caste category students from other states will be considered as General Category for this purpose.
  • If a student belongs to any reserved caste category from Maharashtra State, he/she will have to bring the original caste certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra at the time of admission.
  • If a student belongs to Maharashtra State, he/she will have to bring the original Domicile certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra at the time of admission.
  • If a student wishes to take admission under sports/cultural quota, he/she will have to upload all the relevant sports/cultural certificates as one PDF file at the time of pre-merit application.
  • Students who do not pay the pre-merit application charges within the given time period will not be considered for the Merit List.
  • The selected students in Merit List will receive an email on their registered email ID. The details of admission process, date and the time period will be mentioned on our website under the Tab - Online Admissions-Master Degree (PG).
  • Symbiosis does not accept any Donation or Capitation for admission to any Academic Programme. Students are cautioned against falling prey to any assurances offered for admissions by any individual or an organization.
  • Click on 'Save and Continue' to choose a password and the hint questions that will be asked if you forget your password. Then click on 'Submit' to register.
  • After successful registration, you will get an email containing your SCACFYPG ID and password. You may continue to complete the pre-merit form by entering the remaining details requested. On your completion click on 'Save and Continue'.
  • Payment page will get activated and student can make the payment with Credit / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce reserves the exclusive right to reject any application without assigning any reasons thereof.
  2. The pre-merit registration charges for each programme are Rs. 1500/-
    However, if the candidates select more than one programme, the per-merit registration charges will be as per the below structure –
    M.Com. – Rs. 1,500/-
    M.A. (Economics or English) - Rs. 1,500/-
    M.Com. + M.A. (Economics or English) – Rs. 2,500/-
    The pre-merit registration charges are non-refundable
  3. All the information pertaining to admission to the College will be posted on the College website and separate communication will not be sent to the individual candidates.
  4. If you agree to the above terms and conditions, click "I Agree" and please complete your form by filling all the fields of your application.
  5. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations governing the pre-merit procedure of the College as well as the rules contained in the information and instructions given on the College website, which I have read and understood.
  6. I understand that the information that I have provided in the application form will be used by the College. I may receive information by email or other form on matters unrelated to the College and I agree not to object to such mailers.
  7. I hereby undertake that the information given in the pre-merit application form is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. Discrepancy if any found, I shall not hold the College authorities responsible and I understand that my application for admission can be rejected by the College authorities for misinformation.

All disputes in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  1. Students from the 3rd Merit Lists must get their documents verified by visiting the College from 24th July 2024 to 26th July,2024 during 10.00 a.m. - 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm and secure their admission by paying the fees on or before 27th July at 11.59 p.m.
  2. Students who have not paid the Pre Merit application charges till 20th July 2024 will not be considered for the Merit List.
  3. If the student has not entered the percentage, s/he will not be considered for the merit list.
  4. Once a student has opted for a programme and his admission has been confirmed by paying the fees, the student cannot change the programme after the commencement of the academic year.
  5. All admissions to M.A. & M. Com. are purely on merit basis in concurrence with the reservation rules of the Government of Maharashtra. Reservation under caste category is available for students from Maharashtra having valid caste certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra.
  6. Optional subject once allotted will not be changed in case of M.Com. Students.
  7. The College fees will be charged according to the programme, residential status, optional subject selected / allotted etc. Student can check the fee structure displayed on the college website.
  8. The admissions under the ‘Sports and Cultural’ quota will be offered on the basis of performance of the students in those respective areas.
  9. A student is required to pay College fees online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI only.
  10. The hostel facility offered by the college is limited and it is allotted on merit basis and on the first come first served basis only after the completion of admission process and payment of college fees.

Symbiosis does not accept any Donation or Capitation for the admission to any Academic Programme. Students are cautioned against falling prey to any assurances offered for admissions by any individual or an organization.

All admissions will be offered on the first come first served basis.


STEPS FOR SECURING ADMISSION

  1. A student who has been selected in the merit list will be able to view his / her merit list status by clicking ‘View Result’ button by using his/her login ID and password and then using the given link, he / she can get the offer letter for the selected programme.
  2. The offer letter contains the link to fill the admission form.
  3. The student is expected to fill up the admission form carefully.
  4. The M.Com. student will have to select the optional subject. Optional subject once allotted will not be changed.
  5. Then the student has to come to the College personally for verification of documents.
  6. Verification of the documents will be done only of those students who filled the admission form.
  7. After verification of the documents the student will get the facility to pay the College fees and secure his / her admission.
  8. The student should bring the following documents with him/ her for physical verification at the time of admission:
    • Pre-merit application form
    • Statement of Marks- 12th (original and self-attested photocopy).
    • Statement of Marks- graduation (Semester wise original and self-attested photocopy).
    • Leaving / Transfer Certificate (original and self-attested photocopy)
    • Migration Certificate (original and self-attested photocopy) – for students from other than SPPU.
    • Passing Certificate (original and self-attested photocopy).
    • Caste Certificate (original and self-attested photocopy) – for students from Maharashtra State only.
    • Domicile Certificate – (photocopy) for students from Maharashtra State only.
    • Gap affidavit on Rs. 100 stamp paper (original and self-attested photocopy) - if applicable
    • Original and self-attested photocopy of the documents related to special quota (Defense/Ex-servicemen/Sports etc. if applicable).
    • Income Certificate (original and self-attested photocopy) (in case of EWS students)
  9. Following original documents will be retained by the college at the time of physical verification of documents:
    • Leaving Certificate
    • Migration Certificate
    • Gap affidavit (if applicable)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  1. The merit list is only for Defence quotas.
  2. Students from the 5th Merit Lists must get their documents verified by visiting the College on 26th July 2024 during 10.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. and secure their admission by paying the fees on or before 27th July at 11.59 p.m.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR IN-HOUSE ADMISSION of M.A./M.Com. Part II (PG)

2024-2025 Admissions to M.A./M.Com. Part II will be conducted from 2nd July, 2024 at 11.00 a.m. to 10th July, 2024 at 11.59 p.m.

  1. Login with your Login ID (Student ID) and password e-mailed to you.
  2. Click on “Admission” menu on the left pane.
  3. Fill all sections of the admission form with correct information. Kindly note that some of the information would be prepopulated based on the last year data. The student can update the same with correct information wherever required and allowed.
  4. Please note that some basic information of the student is non-editable. If the student has to change it, he / she will have to visit the College office after the commencement of the course with relevant documents.
  5. The subject of specialization will remain as per the First Year for M. Com students. Student cannot change the specialization subject. However, the student will have to select the optional subjects from the drop-down list of the subjects.
  6. Complete the form by clicking the ‘submit’ button.
  7. Then click on ‘Make Payment” menu on the left pane (this will appear only after you ‘Submit’ the admission form).
  8. View the fee table and select the fee by clicking on the radio button in the last column and then click on “View Fee Details” button.
  9. The payment mode and complete fee details breakup will be visible on the screen.
  10. Click on button “click here to make payment” and proceed to payment gateway for making the fee transaction. Student can pay the fees by using credit card / debit card / net banking / UPI.
  11. Upon successful payment, the fee receipt number will be displayed. Click to view the payment history.
  12. If there has been a technical error while making the payment, the student may have to wait up to 48 hours for generating the fee receipt.
  13. Next, click on Print Declarations on left panel and click on Print Admissions Form, download it and print the same.
  14. Student will get the roll no and division only after the payment of fees.
  15. Separate notification will be issued on the college website for admission form and documents submission.
