Symbiosis, capturing the spirit of the biological term, was formed to promote global understanding between Indian and foreign students through education. Founded by the visionary Padmashree  Dr. S. B. Mujumdar as an international cultural and educational centre, Symbiosis has emerged as one of India’s leading educational institutions imparting quality education.

Today Symbiosis has more than 34 institutes under it’s banner and the Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce is one among them. Academics, arm in arm with an emphasis on all round development through  co-curricular and extra-curricular activities , a one of a kind diploma programme in Liberal Arts, the Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce, accredited ’A’ grade by NAAC, has been committed to quality education since 1983.

The college has geared up to incorporate  new opportunities in the field of education . Keeping this in perspective,  a number of  faculty  members are involved in diverse research projects. Besides organising seminars, conferences and guest  lectures to keep abreast of the latest in the world of industry and trade, the  college also takes care of  student progression by collaborating with well known companies for their recruitment. The college has also entered into Memorandums Of Understanding and collaborations with universities from USA, UK and Europe. These collaborations enable the college to offer students exchange programmes, faculty exchange programmes and other integrated programmes.
