Dr. Soman Hrishikesh M.

Head, Department of Business Laws

Dr. Hrishikesh Soman has more than 25 years of teaching experience. His specialization is in Finance and Marketing and he has completed his doctoral studies in tourism and marketing. He is Principal of the Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce since 2007. He also teaches one course on Investments and Beyond and the other on Mentioning Unmentionables at the Centre for Liberal Arts. Dr. Hrishikesh Soman has a keen interest in classical music.

Mrs Swati Chiney has more than 15 years of teaching experience. She takes the course on Business Regulatory Framework. She has published articles , books , research papers and also delivered lectures on Environment Related Laws, Mercantile & Industrial Laws and Business Regulatory Framework. Known for her eye for detail, Mrs Swati Chiney is also appreciated for her musical talent.

Mrs. Tamhankar Shubhada

Mrs. Shubhada Tamhankar has more than 20 years of teaching experience at graduate and postgraduate level. She takes the courses on Company Law, Costing and Accountancy. She has published books on Company Law and published several research papers at national and international level seminars and conferences on issues such as Employee Retention Arising out of Health Disorder, Skills Development through Activities Conducted by Colleges, Experiential Learning in Commerce. Her research paper on Skills Development through Activities Conducted by Colleges received best paper award at international conference organized by Women’s Christen College, Chennai and CIMA. She has submitted her Ph.D. thesis on “Study of Human Capital Development through Skills Development Activities in Commerce Colleges” to SPPU.

She has worked as Placement Cell In-charge of the college for 4 years. Currently she is heading the committee of Academic Audit and she is also in-charge of Arts Circle. She is active member of Rotary club of Pune Gandhibhavan and has undertaken numerous pro-social projects for the youth. She is also blessed with musical talent.

CMA Monica Parikh has 8 years teaching experience in subjects like costing, accounts and performance management. She is currently teaching Mercantile Law to T.Y.B.Com students. She has been teaching various courses like ACCA, ICWA, CIMA and MBA as well. She has received full scholarship from the ACCA to pursue ACCA.
