Mrs. Marcelle Samuel

Associate Professor
Head, Department of Banking

Mrs. Marcelle Samuel has 30 years of teaching experience. She teaches courses in Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, International Economics, and Banking and Finance. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree. She has authored books in Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics and published papers in reputed journals. She has presented papers at National and International Conferences and won awards for research papers and curriculum designing. She has also anchored educational films, conducted a number of workshops on Public Speaking, Soft Skills and established the prestigious intercollegiate debate ‘Waxing Eloquent’.

Dr. (Mrs.)Parchure Sunayini R.

Dr. Sunayini Parchure has more than 10 years’ experience of Post Graduate teaching at the Department of Economics University of Pune and at Symbiosis Institute of International Business and more than 31 years teaching experience at Undergraduate level. Currently she is teaching at the M.A. programme at Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce. She held office as acting Principal, Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, between December 2006 and January 2007. Dr. Sunayini Parchure is as research guide for Ph.D. in Humanities at Symbiosis International University (SIU), has guided three students in last three years and one student has completed Ph.D. She is member, Board of Studies, Shivaji University, D.G College of Commerce Satara, and has been Member, Board of Studies, University of Pune and Symbiosis School of Economics, Symbiosis International University, besides being a subject expert for selection of faculty in Humanities, University of Pune and at Symbiosis International University, member for selection of Principal Vocational College, Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning.

She has published a number of research based papers in journals, conference proceedings; text books in Economics and also participated in national and international seminars and conferences and workshops. She was appointed on the Review Panel   for review of titles in Economics by Oxford University Press, India. She has been an active member of the Core Committee for CPE, KAUSHAL, NAAC, Examinations, Finance Committee, Governing Body, Academic Council and Chairman Board of Studies Economics. She also assisted in instituting the prestigious Dr. V. M. Dandekar Memorial Series.

Mrs. Sheena Mathews

Dr. Sheena Mathews has 20 years of teaching experience. She enjoys teaching papers such as Micro Economics, Indian Economy, Banking & Finance, and International Economics. She has pursued her doctoral degree in Transport Economics from Mumbai University. She has presented papers at various national and international seminars. She has been part of the editorial team of the college magazine and also co-ordinates the activities of the elocution and debating association.

Dr. Raina Neelofar

M.A (Economics) NET, SET, B.ED , Ph.D

Dr. Neelofar Raina has 20 years of teaching experience. She teaches both undergraduate and post graduate Students .She teaches  papers such as International Economics, Indian Economic Environment, India in the World Context, Banking Law and Operations, Banking Trends and Practices, Human Development Issues and Analysis, Banking System and Financial Markets in India, Economics of Development. She has pursued her Ph.D Business Economics and is a Recognized Ph.D Guide for in the subject of Business Economics in the Savitribai Phule Pune University. She has authored books on Business Economics and Indian and Global Economic Development and has published various Research articles in national & international journals and presented papers in National and International Conferences. Currently she is Faculty in charge of Symbiosis Centre for Skill Development, Teacher representative of Academic Council, active member of Foundation Course and coordinates activities of Arts Circle.

Mrs. Sapkal Nalini

Mrs. Nalini Sapkal has about 20 years of teaching experience. She has taught Micro-Economics, Macro-Economics and Banking at under graduate level .Currently she takes the course on Micro- Economics and Banking  at the under-graduate level and at  post-graduate level.

At the college level she has been a part of various associations and committees such as NSS, Magazine committee, Anti -Ragging Committee and so on. She has also been the Staff Secretary and Social Welfare Officer (SWO). She looks after the organization of the activities of the Department of Economics.
