Objectives:
- Faced with the growing influence and relevance of the mass media, the Film Club is committed to culturally empowering students to understand, appreciate, and critically evaluate Cinema.
- An exposure to world Cinema from diverse cultural, political and aesthetic positions will not only enhance the students’ understanding of the medium and the various issues explored by film makers but it will also counter the numbing effect of popular entertainment.
- To this effect, students will be exposed to films made in a variety of genres by critically acclaimed filmmakers.
