Objectives:

Objectives

Assist students in developing communication and interpersonal skills through theatre workshops and theatre performances
Give an awareness of different cultures and social ethos by reading, studying and participating in plays written by different world playwrights and set in different times
Encourage a keen interest in their curriculum by staging plays that are a part of their academic study
Offer an opportunity to students to develop their physical and emotional personalities from theatre as a form of self-expression
Teach students event management skills by planning and managing back-stage and production activities

Objectives

Suman Karandak Inter Collegiate Marathi Drama Reading Competition in which students from more than 25 colleges in and around Pune participate
Hosting Purushottam Karandak Marathi One Act Play Competition.

English Literary Association

Objectives:

To introduce them to great books that have stood the test of time and let them feel the pulse of life through the works of great authors
Help them understand literary works through interaction with experts in the field.
To develop skills in self-expressions, analytical abilities and critical appreciation.

Film Club

Objectives:

Faced with the growing influence and relevance of the mass media, the Film Club is committed to culturally empowering students to understand, appreciate, and critically evaluate Cinema.
An exposure to world Cinema from diverse cultural, political and aesthetic positions will not only enhance the students’ understanding of the medium and the various issues explored by film makers but it will also counter the numbing effect of popular entertainment.
To this effect, students will be exposed to films made in a variety of genres by critically acclaimed filmmakers.
